Alex Plaxen, President and Founder of Little Bird Told Media, began his events career obtaining his Master’s degree from The George Washington University, focusing on events and meeting management. In addition to his industry work, Alex has been an active member of PCMA and MPI. He currently sits on the PCMA Capital Chapter as the Generation Meet Subcommittee Chair and the Potomac Chapter of MPI’s Board of Directors. He has been honoured locally and internationally as an emerging leader in the event industry, receiving the PMPI Rising Star Award, PCMA Chairmen’s Convening Leaders Scholarship and being named to the PCMA 20 in the Twenties Class of 2022. Alex has shared his knowledge on social media as a marketing tool, as it shouldn’t be used to just broadcast information, customer service, membership engagement, the importance of monitoring the hashtag.
