THIS is how you build – and keep – followers with killer content!

The web has completely transformed the way that businesses large and go about marketing, building up prospect bases, and then converting those prospects into paying customers while trying to keep as many of as humanly possible.

On top of that, there’s never been as competitive a business environment in human history as there is today. Everyone (and we mean everyone) has the opportunity to build a business with about five dollars, five minutes of time, and an Internet connection – and that means there is going to be plenty of competition coming at you from all corners of the globe.

You have to be really smart and really savvy about your content marketing, and you have to create key pieces that are:

• Evergreen
• Engaging and
• Effortless to share

Here are some tips and tricks to help you do exactly that!

Figure out EXACTLY what your market wants

The first piece of the puzzle for effective content creation (from a marketing standpoint) has absolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with content creation and instead everything to do with researching your market, understand your perfect prospect and their needs, and figuring out EXACTLY what they want and how to give it to them.

The biggest mistake people make when it comes to content creation is assuming that they know what their market is after, producing content without verifying it is actually valuable to the prospect/customer, and then discovering only after all that time and expense has been wasted that it is a flop.

Don’t make that same mistake!

Make it effortless for your followers to share your content

The second thing you have to do when you are creating content designed to help you retain your followers – while building your following at the same time – is to create bite-size content that is effortlessly shareable but that also fits into the bigger marketing push/puzzle that you are putting together.

Instead of thinking as each piece of content as its own event instead begin to recognize it as another piece of your marketing machine. Each component should play off of the others and build upon the foundation that every other component has created.

This really sucks your followers into your content wormhole, keeping them engaged and interested while allowing you to leverage all of the content that you have created in the past rather than having it go to waste.

Produce a content calendar and stick to it like glue

Consistency with your content creation is absolutely essential, not only from a quality standpoint but also from a regular publishing schedule standpoint as well.

Decide whether you’re going to release content on a daily, semi-daily, or weekly basis and then stick to that schedule religiously. This allows your followers to get used to when to expect new content drops from you and gives you the chance to enjoy a more dedicated following by adding a lot of consistency to their otherwise hectic schedules.
